Rodrigue/Robinson Wedding

June 28/08 saw Lisa Rodrigue and Jason Robinson celebrate their wedding at the Holiday Inn Select in Kanata.
The day was "awesome" with Lisa a picture of elegance and Jason standing tall and proud. It was wonderful to see the Rodrigues and their extended families once again at another joyous occassion.
Great to work with were the wedding party who were not only a lot of fun but also extremely well organized.

He's Just Perfect

What else do grandma's say of their new born grandson? Wyatt was lovingly embraced into this world by his proud mother and father, Didi and Todd McLean and his big brother, Rhett (25 months). A plaque on my sunroom wall says, "Grandchildren are God's gift for growing old". It sure is great to be old.

"Over The Hedge" Garden Tour

The Ottawa Botanical Garden Society sponsored a garden tour of ten distinctive gardens in the Kemptville, Merrickville, Burritts Rapids and Manotick area. The "sold out" event had an interesting twist which was an accompanying car rally. On Sunday, my daughter Didi (four days overdue with second child), her friend Erin Hinch and myself managed to make it to six of the gardens before Didi had to call it quits.

(Note: She went into labor Sunday evening and delivered a 9lb 3oz baby boy, Wyatt William McLean). Perhaps he will have a special "green thumb" with all this wonnderful exposure to gardening at such an early age.

The gardens were fantastic, the hospitality warm and the knowledge shared by these experienced gardeners made it a treat for the season.

Steppin Out

Fun, laughter and excitement reigned as Mallory and McCall prepared for St. Michaels spring prom. McKenzie didn't miss out in the action in the "supporting actress" role for her older twin sisters. All three were beautiful and what a pleasure to work with. Enjoy!

The Art in Photography

As mentioned in my earlier blog on Magical Gardens, I was excited to capture an image of the Rossie Gardens in Perthshire, Scotland of a beautiful statue of a crane appearing to lift off from a pond. The statue had been a gift by Judy's husband to her on a very special occasion. As I photographed the pond and gardens I knew that I would want to paint this image in Corel Painter to try and create my own little Scottish Monet painting. Happily this morning I took the time to work on it and I share it with you.
