Ashleigh Cleary A Role Model

It was with great pleasure that Ted and I attended the Carleton University Women's Ravens basketball game last evening, February 18.  Ashleigh Cleary, team captain was being honored and thanked for her dedication, commitment and leadership within the women's basketball team.  Her consistency both on and off the court was an inspiration to those about her.

Ashleigh started her basketball career within the Warriors Basketball Association under the leadership of coaches Peter Bradburn and Leo St. Louis.  She competed at Atom, Bantam and Midget within Warriors and then went on to play for the Brockville Blazers for Juvenile.  She lead her high school basketball team at North Grenville under Mike Hoy.

The basketball community has been very fortunate to have this type of player within their realms.  Special mention of Ashleigh's parents, Mike and Jennifer who were there supporting her continuously along the way.

Kemptville and in particular Warriors Basketball is proud of Ashleigh's success. All the best!
