Equine Photographer's Paradise

In early March, prior to going to WPPI, my husband Ted and I had the opportunity to stay with Eileen Gilbert at her beautiful home in Southern Pines NC. The home, right beside the 12th green on Pinehurst 6 Golf course was a peaceful oassis from all of the snow that Eastern Ontario was experiencing.

After dusting off the clubs from last October, we experienced some of the most beautiful golf courses ever. Our favorite was the Southern Pines Golf Course right on the edge of the village. My hand took the shape of a golf club after four continuous days of golf but it was worth it to be outdoors in the sunshine.

During the mornings I visited the standarbred training track, the beautiful sand trails to view the carriage drivers and on Saturday to see the Moore County Hunter Trials. It was a most relaxing time and Ted and I appreciated Eileen giving us such a wonderful week.
