Each Christmas season I have the opportunity to capture the artistry and creativity of Mill Street Florist and their staff. The Home For Holidays tour to raise money for the Maycourt Hospice features unique homes decorated for the festive season by some of the top florists in the Nations Capital. Joanne Plummer managed to personify the great Canadian AY Jackson of the Group of Seven when she and her staff descended upon 1176 Highcroft Drive in Manotick.
The artist's home where much of his outstanding work capturing the raw beauty of nature had been created, was a delicate mixture of nature and clean modern lines. The owner, Irene Staron, of Staron Design brought the home into modern times. “All the decisions and all the choices were based on all the things that A.Y. loved about this property: the light, the surroundings, the sloping situation, the natural setting,” she says.
Mill Street Florist once again showed why they stand out among the best!
