Wow, I'm Excited

It has just been announced that two of my salon prints entered in the Professional Photographers of Canada National Image Competition at London, Ontario have won Awards of Merit. A panel of Master Photographers from across Canada judged the prints prior to the Annual National Convention.

The print - I Love You Too - captures the raw emotions of the bride's grandmother when she viewed her granddaughter for the first time on her wedding day. This print holds special significance to all of us, for within one month of the wedding, the grandmother suffered a severe loss of her capabilities. It was as if she was holding on to see her granddaughter on her wedding day.

The second image - Final Touches - was a magical moment as the early morning light outlined the blacksmith and her horse as she clinched the shoe. The light was softly difused through the dust that had been stirred up just moments before in the indoor arena. This was captured in the Catskills, New York.
