Family Time

Jocelyn and Steve Elliott took the opportunity to have a family portrait session when everyone was home for the holidays. They have created a summer oasis in their backyard and it was a perfect location for this session.

How Precious Are They?

Childhood is soooo short and there is nothing I enjoy more than capturing these precious stages of growth. With my collection of antique children's toys and wide open spaces, one can allow them to be themselves and discover what's just around the corner. Ella, eighteen months old showed us many sides to her developing personality. Just precious!

Playing with Silhouettes

Four members of the North Grenville Camera Club, Cheryl, Linda, Shannon and Bernie and myself had fun chasing the light along the Rideau Canal to try and capture some interesting silhouettes. This had been the topic of the last meeting, with an excellent presentation by John Wilberfoce on the basics of silhouette shooting.

The run and stop routine lasted for 80 minutes of changing light and finished in the Baldachin Pub for a refreshing drink. Thanks Bernie!

Saratoga - Heaven on Earth

For a number of years I have treated myself to a mini-vacation at Saratoga Springs. It is my superb destination - thoroughbreds working out on the old Oklahoma track - the Faisig Tipton Select Yearling Sales - art galleries and loads of equestrian art - old world luxury from days gone by - extraordinary food and shopping opportunities abound.

This year we added two new elements to this dream vacation - staying at The Mansion Inn and golfing at Saratoga Lake Golf Course and Top Of The Mountain Golf Course at Lake George. The only thing that could surpass this is to have two more days to play AND win a Lottery!

The Sun Shone - Love And Laughter Prevailed

Jacqueline VanderMeer and Victor Heaphy celebrated their love beneath clear blue skies and the day couldn't have been better. Their easy going way and the attention to details beforehand ensured an enjoyable day for all.

Something I will always remember was the sound of the mass choir singing the processional for the bride and her father, to the words that Beth, the bride's mother had composed. The sheer energy and joy as Jacqueline and Victor left the church to -You Lift Me Up, sung by the choir will be a life long memory.

Something New

I had the opportunity to photograph the herfords of the NBG Farm in preparation for the sales. Quality livestock is evident whether a horse, cow, dog or cat. Great learning experience!

The Importance Of An Album

Laura and Tyler celebrated their first anniversary recently and were kind enough to send a note concerning their album.

The album is absolutely beautiful and took my breath away! To say it's stunning is an understatement! ... It's amazing how you captured everything from that day and laid it out in a way that makes it feel as though we're reliving the day from start to finish each time we look at it. The quotes are perfect too! Tyler works in publishing and was also very impressed with the quality of the album binding - something I would never notice but he's an expert on! What an amazing keepsake to remember our special day by!

Thanks again for capturing all the memories of our special day for years to come!

Laura
