Congratulations Mill Street Florist

Sunday, November 13th saw me photographing the Mill Street Christmas Open House, marking their 25th Anniversary. Joanne Plummer, owner and inspiration behind Mill Street is an entrepreneur "extraordinaire". She has created a unique style that is identifiable by everyone. The constant is creativity, freshness and impeccable workmanship. As a business woman, she is someone I try to emulate because she is always striving to improve and "raise the bar".

Not only is she an artist, but she's soon going to have to do a cookbook featuring the homemade goodies that are provided each year. This year the "little mice" took the academy award for "Best Decadence and Eye Appeal".

Brookgreen Gardens South Carolina

Brookgreen Gardens, encompassing nine thousand acres of what was previously three South Carolina plantations is a perfect balance of art within a natural landscape of giant Live Oaks covered in Spanish moss. Beckoning walkways guide you from exhibition to exhibition. This small video is a miniscule glimpse of the wonders that await you.

Take time ....

... to smell the roses.  In this hurry scurry world we live in these days, it is so easy to put off something until another day (year).  Recently I travelled to Myrtle Beach for a week of golf with forty other fun loving women who share their love of golf.  Under the experienced guidance of Susan Smith, everyone of us met new friends, had new experiences and took time to be happy to be alive.

Join me in this early dawn walk along Myrtle Beach's Boardwalk.

I'm So Beautiful

Little "Ella" came to the studio before she was born, at three weeks, three months, six months, nine months and one year of age. The only constant in all of these sessions was the love that Darcie and Bill surrounded her with. Her growth into a happy, vibrant little girl throughout her first year of life will be cherished in her book - LOOK AT ME!

That Special Time Of Year

The anticipation and excitement of Christmas starts for me when I photograph the chosen home for Mill Street Florist to decorate for the Home For The Holidays tour to benefit the May Court Hospice.  This year's home at 103 James Street was a beautifully renovated residence of old world charm and brought to life for the Xmas season by Joanne and her "Christmas Elves".
