What A Wonderful World

Dennis & Judy had the misfortune of having their wedding site, burn down just three days before their wedding date.  With the support of the wedding community, Strathmere stepped in to make available "The Lodge" for Sunday August 19, I was able to provide them with photography and the florists and wedding cake providers, Grahames Bakery of Kemptville handled the change of date and venue.
The weatherman circled them with thunder storms BUT not a drop of rain as they joined their two families in a very meaningful and beautiful ceremony.  What a wonderful world!

Dreams Do Come True

The big day is coming.  We've planned, borrowed and waited in anxious anticipation for our wedding day. There's PLAN A where everything goes perfect and there's PLAN B if the heavens open up and we all have to run for cover.

Sarah Wilson and Daren Stephenson had PLAN A all the way for their wedding day at Cedarhill Golf & Country Club.  It was fun, beautiful and enjoyed by all, but most importantly the bridal couple shared their love with everyone there.

 

 

Betty, thank you so much for being a part of our very special day!  Your talent captured every moment that we will remember for the rest of our lives, and we could not be more grateful.

My Heart Melts

Everyone who knows me can testify that becoming a "grandma" was one of the greatest moments of my life.  Babies hold a special place in my heart and I am so happy when I know that another set of parents have just joined the alumni of Grandparents. 

Tammy and Chris gave me the opportunity to capture the wonderment of a "new born" when they brought three week old Reese for her first "formal portrait session".  What a living doll - what fun!  I had to post some pictures.

Love Is In The Air

Family and close friends joined together in the happy occasion of Erin O'Gorman and Bob Paulson's wedding ceremony at St. Elizabeth of the Visitation and reception at the Courtyard Restaurant. I do have to admit that I have always admired the red dress uniform of the RCMP and so this wedding was especially thrilling to photograph especially the honor guard that welcomed Erin and Bob as man and wife.  The laughter and love that shone in their eyes was evident to all!

My Heaven On Earth

Early August brings the Fasig-Tipton Yearling Select Sales at Saratoga Springs, NY.  Here one can get up early and go to the old Oklahoma track to observe the top trainers in the world working their horses on the dirt track or the grass.

One can then go to the Yearling Barns of Fasig-Tipton with their neat rows of stables with mature trees down the middle for shade where the best bred and conditioned yearlings in North America are  readied for this prestigious sale. Horses are paraded and walked for all interested parties in preparation for the sales nights. 

With evening comes anticipation, excitement and nerves as years of breeding and careful selection are paraded for the elite buyers who can afford to play in this million dollar game.  The rest of us just watch on in wonderment and enjoy every minute.
