LOVE THE DRESS SESSION

We hear about "Trash The Dress" photo sessions after a wedding but I personally prefer, "Love The Dress" sessions.  The day of a wedding moves at such a rapid pace, that there is not the time to indulge in all the "dress fantasies" that a bride has imagined once she has chosen her wedding dress. Besides, wedding photography is all about capturing the day, emotions and details that make it unique.  It is NOT a photo session!
For this reason I am delighted when a bride wishes to honor her dress and capture those images that have held her imagination for months. Even better when the groom joins in to make it a fun and great memory for both of them for years to come.

EXTRAORDINAIRE !

I had the opportunity to photograph my niece, Erin McLean and David Coyle's wedding on June 22, 2013 at the Ottawa Hunt Club.  It was the last of my nieces & nephews weddings with Ben first, Greg second and then Erin.  Each one was such an exciting family occasion with unique style.
Erin and Dave had left no stone unturned in creating a day that was not only memorable for them but also for every guest there.  As they say, "It was in the creation of every minute detail that made it "Extraordinaire".

Nicole Cable Driving Clinic

Although my time was short at the Nicole Cable driving clinic sponsored by the Eastern Ontario Pleasure Driving Society at the farm of Ian and Mary Mulligan just outside of Manotick, Ontario, the opportunity to meet with old acquaintances, share some laughs and view a top notch trainer work with two distinctly different horses and drivers at different stages of their lives was fascinating.  Everyone I spoke to was thrilled with Nicole's ability to pinpoint key points for each participant in the clinic.  Wonderful to view and made me regret that I could not have photographed more.

New Adventures

May 25th was the "First Day Of Forever" for Mark and Kara as they welcomed family and friends to Stanleys Olde Maple Lane Farm as they declared their love and commitment for life.  It is always a pleasure to photograph at Stanleys as the old maple trees provide exceptional light for the most natural and enchanting images.
The chance to photograph the huge Roosen Transport truck with all of the guests in front while suspended 30 feet up in the air was magical.  Add to this the renewed acquaintances of the much loved Morrison family and you have a perfect day!
